• This weight is for use with sash type windows which are counterbalanced by a weight, sash pulley, and sash cord.
• To balance a sash window, the combined weight of the counterweights should be equal to the sash’s actual weight.
• If you can’t get exact counterweights, then It’s better to use slightly lighter counterweights to prevent the sash from opening on its own.
• The sash weight attaches to the sash cord by running the cord through the weight’s hole and tying a knot on the end of the cord.
• The knot is held in a cavity on the underside of the weight.
